Montecalvi wines

are an expression

of their territory.

This is achieved

by managing

the grapes correctly

in the vineyard,

and then having the courage

to leave them alone.

When Umbrian born Renzo Bolli, retired from his job as a computer expert, he told his wife, Bernadette, that he wanted to buy a holiday home in Tuscany. What he didn't tell her was that he wanted to make wine. In 1988, he purchased the small estate in Greve in Chianti, 20km south of Florence. The property came with 10 hectares of land, of which 3.5 of Chianti Classico vineyard.  Determined to make not only a great wine, but one which would reflect his personality, he introduced the most up-to-date technical knowledge and infrastructure to the vineyard and winery.
