In 2024, we produced our first rosato. It all began with the early harvest of some of our Sangiovese grapes, followed by maceration on the skins for approximately 24-48 hours, and ageing in stainless steelvatsfor 6 months. Our Palmira has a bright cherry-red colour, deeper than a typical rosato, with aromas of red cherries, wild strawberries, and hints of sour cherry, intertwined with subtle herbal notes of dried thyme and a touch of spice. It is vibrant in the palate, with crisp acidity that lifts flavours of juicy red berries, pomegranate, and blood orange, together with a modest tannic grip typical of Sangiovese. The finish is clean and persistent, leaving a refreshing, slightly mineral impression. All in all, a lively and characterful rosato, showcasing Sangiovese’s hallmark freshness and savoury edge.
